Archaeology Ministry

The Archaeology Ministry is the center or study of relics and ruins from the Great Race, and the studies of naturaly occuring wonders of beauty and resources. The difficulty in making advances in this research make upgrading and maintaining this building is costly both in time and resources.

Available specific tabs:

  1. Search: Allows you to search for a glyph of a certain ore type. Takes 5:50 hours but can be subsidized for 2e. Requires 10k ore of that type and produces 5k waste. Chance to find something equals (archaeology ministry level / 100).
  2. View Glyphs: Complete list of all stored glyphs, and window "Combine Glyphs" to craft plans.
  3. Excavators: Complete list of all deployed excavators. Also says how many are travelling and how many your ministry can control. Every level beyond 10 allows you to deploy one excavator. The ministry itself also functions as an excavator that can find glyphs on its planet but so-called caches of resources as well.
  4. Abandon All Excavators: Hit "Abandon All Excavators!" button to destroy them instantly. Only applies to excavators controlled by that ministry.

You may only have one Archaeology Ministry on a planet.

Requirements

Playing Tips:
This building is key to the advanced development of any empire and should be leveled as high as resonably possible. Also since this building and the deployed excavators can find caches of any resource in this game it can serve as a source for a wide variety of foods to prevent loss of happiness due to lack of food types. This is especially valuable in orbits 8-6, and 1.  Also it will provide small amounts of other ores not normally found on the planet.
This building was primarily operated by the use of glyphinator and a few other scripts that could build plans.  A modified version of glyphinator was produced to just manage the selectable dig and can be found here
