Empire Server
Empire Servers are long term servers geared more toward empire building and role-playing than combat, though combat is still a part of it.

There are different server types, and each server type can have a goal. This page lists the current types and their goals.
Tournament Server
Tournament Servers (TS) are different from Empire Servers in that they have a goal, or an end game. They may also have rules that are different than an empire server.
Trelvestian Essentia
Trelvestian Essentia is a Tournament Server goal. In this type of tournament server the goal is for an alliance to capture and control all four of the Trelvestian colonies. The first alliance to do this gets listed in the hall of fame and may get other prizes as well.
