Expansionist Strategy Guide
To be an expansionist means you want to grow your empire to be as large as possible as quickly as possible. Expansion has both it’s advantages and pitfalls. You will be able to do more faster, but at the same time you open yourself up for attack sooner than you might be able to handle.

Isolationist Strategy Guide
To be an isolationist means you will not expand your empire past your home planet. Instead, you will focus on building up your home planet as much as possible. As an Isolationist, you cannot be attacked. Scows can still dump waste on you, but since your happiness cannot go negative, this just means you would get more resources, since waste is a resource. This affords you the benefit of not needing to worry about buildings that others will need to expand and instead focus on maximizing your production and exploration capabilities.

Offensive Strategy Guide
This guide provides some basic guidelines on how to build your empire in order to attack other empires. The key to this is balancing your expansion and growth with the ability to attack others as well as defend yourself. To be an effective offensive player means you will need to have the capability to defend yourself as you will quickly become a target for others to attack. This is by far the most complex type of game play currently available in Lacuna.

Waste
Waste is the excess produced with any kind of production. Used wisely it can be a valuable resource that can be turned into other needed resources. Used poorly it can turn into pollution that will decrease your empire's happiness. Without happiness you will be unable to colonize other planets.
